With a long-wave infrared detector with a 12µm pixel-pitch running 1024 x 768 pixels at 100 frames per second, this VIPERA is ideal for monitoring and identifying fast objects. The camera is comprised of a sensor head that holds all power supplies and analogue signal processing as well as the conversion to a digital signal. The sensor head connects to both ports of our INDIGO image processing platform. The Linux subsystem on INDIGO runs a elaborate shutterless non-uniformity correction and also provides an interface for the user to control sensor behaviour. Outputs are 16-bit CameraLink and a second HD-SDI channel
running 720p50 over a 1.5G link.
This unit is perfect for capturing fast moving objects in Active Protection Systems or fast situational awareness systems. It’s extreme low-latency feature, there is no buffering for the CameraLink output, makes it one of the fastest LWIR units on the market today.
